MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – October 26, 2009 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
The Ethics Reform “Act” was discussed with Sue Voudren Town Clerk. A Municipal Liason must be appointed by January 27, 2010. Employees have to complete the online training – It is the responsibility of the employee and not the Municipality. Ethics will supply a power point presentation for group training. When the online training is complete a certificate will be generated and a copy must be given to the Town Clerk
Notice of Violation of town bylaw or regulation ticket was approved and will be printed.
The board accepted the resignation of Frank Fazi from the Conservation Commission. The Conservation Commission will remain at 4 members with 3 being voting members.
Board of Selectmen authorized the hiring of 4 temporary part time help for the purpose of removing the debris caused by the December, 2008 ice storm. The help will be working for approximately 6 weeks 40 hours a week. The crew will always be working with one full time DPW employee and all employees must take a chipper safety course.
A complaint was received about a violation of Tolland’s Junk Car Bylaw. The complaint was taken under advisement and will be addressed by the Zoning Enforcement Officer.
